WHAT I GOT UP TO...
There is actually a lot you can do in the area surrounding Fort Stockton. I felt like there wasn't enough time to do and see it all! I took a day trip and drove to Marathon to enjoy the beautiful gardens and delicious restaurants, Alpine to experience the scenery from a famous western film and check out the shops, and Marfa to see the unique Prada building close to the border of Mexico. Pecos and Fort Stockton have a lot of great places to eat, with my favorites being V's Kitchen, Mi Casita and King Shark!

ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in Tucumcari, New Mexico, but spent a lot of time in the panhandle of Texas. I got my bachelors degree from Eastern New Mexico University and majored in Biology with an emphasis in Pre-Medical Sciences.
I am a huge foodie and love to try out new foods and places to eat! I like cooking, reading, traveling, volleyball/pickleball and video games. I sadly do not have any pets (yet), but have always loved animals and am notoriously early for any event/activity!
I enjoy optometry because of the service you get to provide to the community and the role you serve in your patient's overall health.

West Texas Eyecare offers an exceptional externship experience with incredible opportunities to grow and strengthen your clinical decision-making skills, all while enjoying the beautiful backdrop of West Texas. Throughout my rotation, I had the chance to work with real-life patients and scenarios that didn’t always have a textbook solution. This pushed me to think critically like a doctor and gave me more confidence in my clinical abilities.
The preceptors, staff, patients, and overall community made this rotation truly outstanding. I couldn’t have asked for a better environment to learn the ins and outs of private practice. Most importantly, I’m grateful to have found some amazing role models who have had a lasting impact on my professional development.
